October 26 — OIN makes international headlines from Russia with OpenNet’s story about YADRO’s — part of IKS Holding — news that YADRO has joined our community. The Russian-based company produced storage systems and high-performance server systems based on the Open Source Model. Since 2019, YADRO has owned Syntacore, which is one of the oldest developers of specialized open and commercial IP-cores RISC-V (IP Core). YADRO is also one of the founders of RISC-V International, a non-profit which oversees the architecture development of the RISC-V instruction set. The company intends to develop and by 2025 begin production of a new RISC-V processor for laptops, PCs and servers. (Story in Russian)
