Whether it’s taking families on new adventures or helping fleets electrify at scale, Rivian’s Electric Vehicles (EVs) share a common goal — preserving the natural world for generations to come. The company states it “exists to create products and services that help our planet transition to carbon-neutral energy and transportation. Rivian’s potential lies in creating solutions that shift consumer mindsets and inspire other companies to fundamentally change the way they operate.” A California-based company, Rivian Automotive was founded in 2009, completed its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in November 2021, introduced the 1st all-electric pickup truck built in the USA, and is building both an Electric Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a pickup truck on a “skateboard” platform that will support future vehicles or be adopted by other companies. Rivian has also partnered with Amazon to build an electric delivery van, plans on developing an exclusive charging network in the United States and Canada by the end of 2023, and has plans to build another $5 billion dollar factory in Georgia.
