April 19, 2022 — At least 125 suits were filed in the Financial Services industry in 2021, and in recent months, Auth Token LLC has filed approximately 35 patent infringement lawsuits against banks and card companies, including Truist Financial. Chief Intellectual Property (IP) Counsel for Truist, Michael Springs, says the bank has been adopting more Open Source Software (OSS) as part of its efforts to improve customer experience and innovate.
