MicroPort® was founded in 1998 in a small office in ZJ Hi-Tech Park in Shanghai China, where a group of individuals shared the belief that medical technology advancements could transform patients’ lives around the globe. Today, the company designs and produces products for such fields as Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, Electrophysiological, Endovascular, Neurovascular, Surgical, Diabetes Care and Endocrinal Management.
The company has over 300 medical devices on the market — one of which is used every 6 seconds — in nearly 10,000 hospitals worldwide. Several of MicroPort’s products, as well as the organization, have won multiple awards for design and quality. Firehawk® and Rega® Family Implantable Pacemakers made the 2018 List of Health in China as a “Top 10 Medical Device.”
With a global workforce of nearly 7,000 employees, MicroPort runs production and research centers in Shanghai, Suzhou, Jiaxing, and Shenzhen, China. In addition, it has Research and Development (R&D) and manufacturing facilities in the United States, France, Italy and the Dominican Republic.
