From starting under a banyan tree to becoming the fastest stock exchange in the world, BSE Limited — formerly known as the Bombay Stock Exchange in India — has crossed many milestones in its 143-year journey. It is the oldest stock exchange in Asia, the 10th oldest in the world and as of January 2022, owns the jingle, “BSE Meri Jaan Ho Tum.” BSE has also won many accolades since its establishment in 1875, including the “IT Genius Awards 2017’ for Data Centre Excellence from the India INX Data Centre of Recognition & Excellence, the “Business World Digital Leadership and CIO Award” and the “Best Brand Award 2017” by the Economic Times, among others.
