June 7, 2021 — Kuaishou Group has become the latest Chinese company to become a member of OIN and joins the likes of Huawei, Baidu, Unisoc, Alibaba, Tencent and Oppo. OIN is a very serious organization — one that demonstrates just what can be achieved by industry-based action rather than government or regulatory authority intervention. With thousands of members from around the world and spread across multiple industries, OIN has been a great success, but the author concludes that there is more work to be done.
