September 14, 2021 — IAM reports Square — the financial services and payments company— has a classic strategy to protect its Intellectual Property (IP) assets. Square doesn’t wield its patents to collect royalties or threaten people, lawsuits, instead the focus on using them to protect its business and the wider crypto eco-system, explains Square counsel Max Sills. “We want to just preserve our freedom to operate.
