Node generator is a command-line tool to create custom modules for Node-RED. This tool is a sub-project of the Node-RED project managed by the OpenJS Foundation. Because this tool automatically generates custom code from OpenAPI documents, developers can easily create custom modules to connect to the REST API. Using another source format, W3C WoT Thing Description, Node-RED users can also create custom modules to access devices for home automation use-cases. Originally, Hitachi started this project but Cisco, IBM, and other companies have currently used this tool to connect to their products.
