Bash (Bourne Again shell) is an sh-compatible command languageinterpreter that executes commands read from the standard input or froma file. Bash also incorporates useful features from the Korn and Cshells (ksh and csh). Bash is ultimately intended to be a conformantimplementation of the IEEE Posix Shell and Tools specification (IEEEWorking Group 1003.2).
